One more important stage of a treatment process is behind for scout Eugen. He is being treated in therms of The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded Project. Just recently the final stage of a plastic surgery for his left hand was completed. During the surgery, doctors transplanted piece of skin tissue, which previously was a part of the skin area, which covered abdomen. As a result, Eugen’s left hand, which was temporarily attached to the abdomen, has been finally released. The surgery was planned to be performed later. However, Eugen’s body coped well, and skin tissue was accepted by the body without any complications.
Also, a small external fixation device been installed for a left hand. During the time of Eugen’s rest the broken phalanx of the fourth finger will be restored with help of traditional methods. When the hand is healed, doctors of The Ilaya Clinic apply cellular materials to restore a forth finger metacarpal bone.
The fourth finger is being treated traditionally now, but soon cellular technology will be applied
The case of the right hand is also quite optimistic. Latest X-rays show, that broken bone gradually heals, and becomes stronger. With a time this complex fracture will become a bone of a monolithic strength.

When the hand heal, and body strengthen up and recover, the turn will come to the right leg. Doctors will restore cruciate knee ligaments. All those wounds Eugen received near Novozvanivka in July of 2016. Eugen’s group kept the defense of a checkpoint, and reflected a strong counterattack of Russian marines. Bullets severely injured man’s both hands, and his right leg. Even after the injury, Eugen was eager to fight, so colleagues took him from the battlefield by force.
Eugen just joined the project
Eugen was lucky. He joined the project straight after the injury, so he avoid most of the complications. That is why his chances for a complete recovery are quite high. Eugen wasn’t taking chances at public hospital, but immediately turned to highly qualified professionals. For his treatment volunteers of The People’s Project collected over 600,000 UAH of charitable contributions and sponsorship support in therms of The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded Project. Not a word about the state, or the Ministry of Health. It seems like we remained the last one, who can and want to help.
