Another parcel has been sent to our Marines. Only recently we wrote about the re-equipment of a few vehicles for the Ukrainian Marine Corps’ needs carried out by the People’s Project volunteer centre. At the volunteers’ expense, mechanics re-outfitted a few powerful SUVs: a heavy machine-gun turret and a telescopic bar for observing was mounted on one of them while another car was fit out for anti-aircraft gun installation. The third vehicle was equipped with a set of medical stretchers accompanied by a special fastening mechanism which turned a former civil minibus into an evacuator.
Apart from this, People’s Project paid for some additional re-equipment expenses and works. Today all this gear and some other stuff has been handed in to the legendary battalion commander Vadym Sukharevsky in person.
Besides, we have prepared some gifts for the marine snipers as well. This has been done not for the first time as well: as a charity foundation we are not allowed to purchase armaments. That is why fundraising for rifles and ammo for the Marines is the responsibility of other people like Serg Marco and Olexiy Sikharulidze. In turn, our task is to take care about extra ammunition and total modernization of the snipers’ gear. Mounting hardware, silencers, supplementary inventory – we are trying to do our best to turn former hunting weapons into accurate killing tools for military snipers’ work.
All this gear has been purchased on the funds raised within the «Mariupol Defenders» project. Soon the Marine Battalion will leave the point of their permanent disposition and advance to new positions on the forefront. And to provide them with all necessary equipment, inventory and ammunition for them to fight the enemy effectively, is our essential task.
