Another explosion, more deaths.
In Zaitseve, a team of Ukrainian sappers got blown up on the Russian explosives.
In the village of Zaitseve, Donetsk region, a group of pyrotechnists of the State Emergency Service was conducting examination and de-mining of the water plant adjoining area.
At some moment, an explosion broke out.
Oleh Boitsov, a chief sapper, has been killed at the spot, and two his colleagues, Dmytro Sepkan and Yevhen Bezkorovaynyi, got heavily injured. The men were immediately evacuated by helicopters to Dnipro and later to Kyiv.
At the moment, a team of doctors take care of the injured whose condition has been defined as critical.
Where did the explosives come from? Who needed a terroristic act on the peaceful territory?
All these are rather rhetorical questions.
Nevertheless, we’d like to pose a truly urgent an essential question as well: what can we do to ensure secure work conditions for our sappers to protect their lives?
Here’s where we can step out to help.
Right now, within the Rapid Response project, we are equipping the sapper special operations team who are engages in control of the contact line: their objective is to prevent the disguised terrorists and saboteur groups’ possible activities in the area and clear the frontline adjoining territories as well as the combat zone from hidden explosives. We must buy them all the gear they need including protective suits and certain tools. To summarize, we are aiming to purchase all the equipment they need to stay alive and intact, to proceed with their noble work and do it with maximum effectiveness.
