The treatment process of one more patient of The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded Project Oleg ended with the complete recovery. Oleg went through the rehabilitation in Poland, rested, recovered and came to The Ilaya Clinic for the examination. The latest control examination confirmed the excellent results of the treatment. The X-ray examination revealed, that the cellular technology worked well, and new foot bones are placed correctly.
Oleg arrived to the clinic for the examination without any crutches. He does not require any additional supports, despite the predictions given at the state hospitals before. The amazing healing worth almost 400,000 UAH of people’s donations, collected by the volunteers of The People’s Project.

Oleg was injured, when the terrorists fired over the positions of the Ukrainian troops with Grad in August of 2014. The blast severely damaged the bones of the Oleg’s right foot. Oleg went through the 7 surgeries at the state hospitals, but the bones were not healed properly. The skin and soft tissue were badly distorted, and the bone got infected by the osteomyelitis. So the foot became completely disabled. Some of the predictions of the doctors were pretty ugly.

Fortunately, at one of the hospitals Oleg met one of the ex-patients of The Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded Project Olexandr. He suggested Oleg to turn to project for the help. During the several stages of complicated surgeries the specialists of The Ilaya Clinic cleaned Oleg’s vast pockets from bone infection, removed the fragments of the bone, performed the plastic surgery of the soft tissues, installed the bone matrix and filled the affected area with the cellular materials. The formation of new bone with the help of cellular materials is completed according to the doctors’ plan.

There were some complications during the treatment process. Before the start of the treatment course the osteomyelitis destroyed the forth toe of the right foot, so it had to be amputated. The level of complications increased even more because of the Oleg’s smoking habbit. But now the bone completely fulfills its function as it formed a new support plane. Also, Oleg finally quit smoking.
