At the settlement of Zolote (Golden) in the Lugansk region the installation of a new border checkpoint for entry and exit has begun. According to the preliminary plans of the Luhansk Regional Military and Civil Administration, in the absence of attacks, the checkpoint will open in the first half of March.
It is expected that passing through the checkpoint on any given day will be 5,000 people and 1,500 vehicles. Four “windows” will work simultaneously to check documents. At the site of the checkpoint a service area with a tent for heating and rest, drinking water tanks, water dispensers, toilets and a bus stop will be set up. A doctor will always be located on site to provide first aid.
