Our fighters went to the ATO. They went there to protect us, to protect our homeland. However a reality of war is that some will not return home. Identifying the fallen means they get given the treatment they deserve for their service and sacrifice.
When we learned soldiers do not have dog tags, we did not even begin to look into the reasons why. We simply took the matter to our own hands and over the course of two days produced the required number. The dog tags were delivered to our defenders, the guys serving with the 101st detached guard brigade of the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces.
We hope they don’t have the need to use them for their intended purpose.
