One of the Ukrainian snipers at the front line was armed with an ordinary Mosin-Nagant rifle. However even an old gun can have its ergonomics improved with modern upgrades, and turned into an effective weapon in hands of Ukrainian defenders.
The volunteers of The People’s Project turned for help to the Kruk Company, which developed an unique upgrade for Mosin riffle for Ukrainian sniper. Modernization of a riffle would not be possible without a support of the donators of The “I Am Sniper” Project. Thanks to people’s donations volunteers were able to buy all the necessary elements for the modernization of a rifle. In December of 2016 volunteers send a barrel for a rifle, 4 5-charge-magazines, operating bolt handle, pistol grip handle and riffle stock for a total price of over 20,000 UAH. Also we handed to the sniper a thermal sight from a sponsor. All cash flow is represented in the report of the project, and available for a review on-line.
As a thank you Ukrainian sniper recorded impressive video, on which he professionally assembles an upgraded Mosin rifle.

For the Ukrainian Army from the people of Ukraine
Ukrainian sniper is a man with a deep philosophical mind. He wrote touching speech about a true patriotism and true independence.
Would you also never call yourself a patriot? Have you never had an embroidered shirt in your closet and a flag on the balcony too? Do you also never got involved into a political discussion, never posted anything with a #betrayal and #victory at the end, never hit a friend, who never participated in Maidan revolution? Do you also not understand the difference between the surnames of new delegates, who accepted another law, that has no actual result?
However, at the same time, you can feel, that patriotism is not a next like below the “correct” article in the Internet, or anything alike. You feel that you don’t need to scream about a true love and faith.
And if you live here, it means something. It means you do believe, that you can influence changes a little bit.
The modernized Mosin rifle
And you can love the place where you live without enforcing your love to anyone (love is quiet), without loud expressions or bombastic words. Just sincerely and honestly doing your job, which gradually improves the world around you. Even if it is your little world, your personal and small country.
If you want to learn to be independent, you have to clearly understand what does it mean. You got to have a rod inside you, know the value of your every word, have the courage to be who you really are, and withstand an influence of different opinions and anachronistic prejudices.
Independence means to not be afraid to appear weak, because of your emotions. Independence means to not be sorry, because of the feelings you are filled with.
The masterpiece in the hands of the Master
Independence is neither “I can do it myself”, nor “I do not need anyone”. It is the ability to work in a team, but remain a personality cooperating. It is an ability to start a relationship, and not be afraid, that you will break, or get hurt or forced to do something you do not want to do.
Independence means to live with an open heart, open-minded and without a fear to live a full life. It is not Ok to live, going with a flow. We have to honestly, carefully and passionately refer to those, who think the way you do, but are still blind yet.
Ukrainian military are an example of courage, strength and inventiveness. With the price of their own health and lives they restrain occupants at Donbas. However, they do need support to do their job as effectively as possible. They require a high quality equipment, to confront an aggressor’s army.
