Oleksandr G, 39. Treatment is in progress

How is Oleksandr’s treatment progressing?

Oleksandr G, 39. Treatment is in progress

Oleksandr G, 39. Treatment is in progress

How is Oleksandr’s treatment progressing?

Wounded near Donetsk Airport 93rd Brigade volunteer Oleksandr requires urgent assistance. Full recovery is possible through a unique biotechnology project Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded.

Since the state through a series of legislative and other restrictions does not support biotech treatment, the soldier’s only hope lies with the people of Ukraine and further afield. The funds are collected through the voluntary crowdfunding platform The People’s Project. We urge everyone who has the opportunity to help wounded soldiers avoid disability. And also to spread the word in social networks.

The effectiveness of biotech tretment is proven in a few clinics across the world including in Ukraine – Ukrainian biotechnology has saved an arm from amputation. And also the sensational recovery of the broken foot of a 19-year-old volunteer.

Wounded:

Oleksandr G, 39, a fighter with the 93 Brigade, wounded near Donetsk Airport.

Wound:

Right leg:
– Consolidated fracture of the tibia in the middle third area with bone defect of 22 cm;
– Shortening of the right lower limb by 2 cm.

Oleksandr for more than a year he was treated with traditional methods, but because of the bone defect and persistent inflammation at the site of the injury, his foot remains non-operational. Now the fighter relies on crutches for mobility. If he does not start treatment with cellular technology Oleksandr is threatened with disability.

More information about the wounded:

Oleksandr, a volunteer with the 93rd Brigade. Together with his fellow fighters he moved to the “Donbas” Batallion. His fellow soldiers, his brother Aleksiy and Vitaliy have also been treated as part of the Bioengineering Rehabilitation for Wounded project. Oleksandr was treated in several military hospitals in Kyiv, Irpin and Odessa. His arm and left leg had long healed, but the law requires immediate treatment. A soldier underwent seven operations on his right leg because of a bad break, the bone defect and osteomyelitis. His treatment in hospitals took a lot of time, but the fighter still can not move freely. He is plagued by constant pain, and the leg remains non-operational.

Oleksandr was born and raised in the Pervomaysk Mykolaiv region. Before the war, he lived and worked in Kyiv as a storekeeper. He was once active in karate. In late 2013, he joined the Euromaidan revolutions, and in early Spring 2014 with his brother Aleksiy decided to volunteer to go to the East. After discharge from the hospital fighter moved back to the Mykolaiv region, where he now lives and is waiting for our help.

Budget update

In 2016, doctors completed treatment for tibia defect. The integrity of the bone was successfully restored, but the healing of the soft tissues continued very slowly due to a large number of scars on the shin and the dead tissue in the bone. In September 2017, doctors performed additional plastic surgeries. This helped for quicker restoration of the soft tissue of the shin. Expenses for extra procedures amounted to 124 335 UAH.

Cost of treatment including medical center discount of 42%: 511 620 UAH
