David Arachamia: an important announcement about the change in status

Dear friends, we’ve got an important announcement for you.

A while ago David Arachamia, also known as David Braun, was among the founders of our initiative. Thanks to David’s efforts People’s Project has grown into a powerful force that greatly contributed to the defense capability of Ukraine and restoration of the Ukrainian Army.

It was David’s trip to Chonhar in the very first days of war that motivated him to launch our first charitable project, raise over a million hryvnias and, at the expense of people’s donations and input of some bigger contributors, to equip the paratroopers of the 79 Airborne Brigade who were holding defense of the borders of the occupied Crimea then and lacked the essential equipment badly.

It was David’s enormous efforts and extraordinary skills that have triggered further organization and functioning of the unprofitable volunteer initiative which didn’t make a penny on support of the Army and Ukraine, which today features a transparent online system of accountability updated in real time.

With time, David’s achievements were duly appreciated, and he was offered a position in the Volunteer Board at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Thanks to David’s active participation, People’s Project was repeatedly awarded for massive amounts of assistance provided to the Army and transparency of their reporting and accounting mechanisms.

Quite reasonably, David is among those key figures whose activities prevented the mold of the so called Novorossia from spreading over both Mykolaiv region and Ukraine in general.

For today, based on our mutual decision, to avoid conflict of interests and exclude the slightest pretext for fabrications, David has officially left the Executive Board of the Mykolaiv Regional Charitable Foundation Blahochestia under whose legal person we run our activities. From now on, David will follow his own path, and we are going to continue our independent activities with no regards to any hypothetical preferences from David Arakhamia’s future positions.

Any of us who know David in person, agrees that this honest and intelligent person’s ideas and efforts were of great help for Ukraine. We are sure David will remain the same irrespectively of the positions he takes or political force he supports. That’s why we sincerely wish him luck on his new path. On our part, we will keep sticking to the policy we always followed: we remain apolitical, independent and always serving the same permanent goal, together with you do our best to keep our Ukrainian army invincible.
