Kalashnikovs were a reliable weapon in the 20th century. In the 21st, the original weapon is ineffective in modern, often high-tech warfare. Nonetheless, Kalashnikovs are capable of modernization, meaning soldiers can be armed with a modern weapon, if you add several accessories.
However, the Kalashnikovs which the Russian militants are equipped with, have been upgraded with all the possible accessories available. In this regard, Ukraine is the underdog, the odds are stacked in the terrorists’ favor – in short it is modernized Russian guns against out-dated Ukrainian. Therefore, we are calling for funds for the quality tuning.
Let’s be fair: Kalashnikovs are still regarded as one of the most reliable machine guns in the world. If the gun is original, then it has already proven able to withstand the tests of high and low temperatures, water, impacts, and even imitations of the strongest desert storms. That’s why even the most “antique” AK models can be still be effective and comfortable to use, if they are “dressed” in new suits of armor.
