Here are some facts:
– Pilots helmets at this moment are simply shockproof instead of being armored. They are designed for transport aircraft, but not for warfare.
– Helicopter side walls are not properly armored. The board inside ought to be protected by the armored plates or at least body armors of the 5th level. Otherwise the armor penetration bullets will pierce the wall and hit the pilot and critically important helicopter parts.
That’s why we regularly witness news reports about shot down helicopters, dead pilots and crews.
– Because of the lack of adequate armor, Ukrainian helicopters don’t fly higher than 10 meters above the land. In any other case they’d be immediately shot down by the enemy. That’s why in forests or residential areas flights are alomst impossible. Even for the purpose of rescue, because it’s more than likely to end like the flight of a moth to a flame.
– The first-aid kits on board helicopters are not equipped with the most necessary medicines. Wounded soldiers need emergency first aid immediately on board. But they often bleed out because of the lack of quality hemostatic means. Even pain relief medicines are unavailable.
